Gertrude Claire was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Claire began her acting career with roles in such films as "The Aryan" (1916), "The Jungle Child" (1916) and the William S Hart western "The Silent Man" (1917). She also appeared in "Blue Blazes Rawden" (1918). Her passion for acting continued to her roles in projects like "Hail the Woman" (1921), "The Fox" (1921) and the Harry Myers adventure "Adventures of Robinson Crusoe" (1922). Film continued to be her passion as she played roles in the drama "Oliver Twist" (1922) with Jackie Coogan, "Wine of Youth" (1924) with Eleanor Boardman and "Tumbleweeds" (1925). Claire more recently acted in "Married Alive" (1927).
