Synopsis
Poverty causes Mary to leave her infant daughter (Ann) at the door of an orphanage. Fifteen years later Mary returns and, unable to recognize Ann, adopts Ann's sweetheart, Jimmy, while Ann is adopted by a musician and becomes a fine violinist through his teaching. Among her performances is one at Jimmy's wedding to another girl. After Jimmy's wife dies, he recognizes Ann's picture on a concert poster. Ann is reunited with Jimmy and, with the aid of an old janitor, her mother.
