Biography
Ken Maynard was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. In his early acting career, Maynard appeared in such films as "The Man Who Won" (1923), "North Star" (1925) and "Señor Daredevil" (1926). He also appeared in "The Land Beyond the Law" (1927), "The Red Raiders" (1927) and "The Devil's Saddle" (1927). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the thirties, appearing in "The Arizona Terror" (1931), "The Pocatello Kid" (1931) and "Branded Men" (1931). He also appeared in "Alias the Bad Man" (1931). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "The Trail Drive" (1934), "In Old Santa Fe" (1934) and "Mystery Mountain" (1934). He also appeared in "Honor of the Range" (1934) and "Smoking Guns" (1934). Maynard last acted in the action picture "Big Foot" (1973) with Christopher Mitchum. Maynard passed away in March 1973 at the age of 78.
