Synopsis

A wagon train is organized by Bill Hollister to break the unfair monopoly acquired by Jake Lynch on food prices in numerous mining communities. The Rambler joins the train when it leaves for Gold Hill; he rescues Sue Smith from a runaway horse and takes command of the wagon train when Hollister is killed from ambush by Lynch's henchmen. Jacques Frazelle, formerly Hollister's second, schemes to displace the Rambler and to win Sue. At a waterhole, The Rambler outwits Lynch's men, and Frazelle schemes with Lynch to disrupt the wagon train. The Rambler vanquishes Frazelle in a whip fight at a dancehall; then he and his men make their way to Gold Hill in time to prevent the miners from signing an exorbitant contract with Lynch.
