Synopsis

Ken Morley is blazing the trail for a cattle drive when he comes across Mary Mortimer, whose horse is being threatened by a wild cat. Ken kills the cat and, while pursuing Mary's runaway horse, risks his life as he and his horse, Tarzan, dive off a cliff into the river after her. He saves Mary's life and learns she is the daughter of Charles Mortimer, the man to whom he is delivering the cattle. At that night's fiesta, Mortimer argues with his neighbor, Marve Slater, who has dammed the headwaters to dry out Mortimer's land and is now plotting to steal Mortimer's cattle by weakening the fence between their properties. Ken rides out to the fence and discovers Slater's men working on the posts. They fight, and Slater's men take Ken prisoner, locking him up in an abandoned shack, which is directly in the path of Slater's dam. A rain storm erupts and causes the dam to burst. As the waters rush toward Ken's makeshift prison, he whistles for his horse, and with a lasso tied to the barred window, the horse helps Ken escape. Ken then races to save Mary from the swirling waters, and as they ride to safety, Slater drowns in his own flood.
