Synopsis

Billy Dennis, foreman of the B-Star Ranch, captures the mysterious "Black Hawk" and his outlaw gang singlehanded. He leaves them tied up in a cabin while he goes to return the gold. The sheriff and his posse, accompanied by Billy's fiancée, Mary Bushman, arrive on the scene. One of the outlaws takes advantage of the sheriff's suspicions of the horseman just departed to declare Billy the real "Black Hawk." Billy gets in a scuffle with two deputies, not realizing who they are, and the bag of gold is accidentally picked up by the ranch's black cook. Mary warns Billy, and he takes to the hills until he can find the gold. The sheriff abandons his less "important" prisoners to go after Billy. Black Hawk and his men also take to the hills, and there they commandeer a car driven by some female tourists. Billy ropes the gang just as their car is going off the cliff, but the sheriff arrives to arrest him. Matters are finally cleared up when the cook arrives.
