Biography

Began his career in 1915 writing scripts for Allen Curtis and soon graduated to directing two-reel romantic comedies, starring Gloria Swanson and Bobby Vernon, for Mack Sennett. In 1918, Badger moved to Goldwyn and directed his first features, including several Will Rogers vehicles. He worked for various producers from the early 20s, averaging three to four pictures a year and specializing in light romantic comedy. Badger's best known work is "It" (1927), adapted from the novel by Elinor Glyn and starring Clara Bow.
