Synopsis
Boston lawyer Quincy Adams Sawyer comes to Mason's Corner to aid Mrs. Putnam in settling her husband's estate. Lindy Putnam tries to vamp him, but Quincy and blind Alice Pettingill strike up a romance. Obadiah Strout, Mrs. Putnam's lawyer, stirs up trouble between blacksmith Nathaniel Sawyer and Quincy that puts Alice in danger. Quincy reveals Strout's efforts to swindle Mrs. Putnam and rescues Alice, whose sight is restored in the excitement.
