Synopsis

Because of its old-fashioned designs, John Braddock's bathing suit company is about to go out of business when plucky seamstress Kitty O'Brien designs a stylish suit that becomes an overnight success. Overworked and distressed by his son Paul's extravagant mode of living, Braddock vacations in the country, leaving Kitty in charge of the business. During his absence, Paul arrives, and Kitty, unaware of his identity, offers him a menial position. Paul, determined to prove himself, accepts the position under an assumed name, but when Hattie Fanshaw, an adventuress with whom Paul was involved, threatens to blackmail him, Kitty realizes who he is and resolves to help him. Kitty tricks Hattie into signing a confession and then offers her a job on condition that she reform herself. In return, Paul helps Kitty to rid herself of Briggs, the dissolute father of her adopted child "Dimples." Upon Braddock's return, he finds his son engaged to his new office manager.
