Richard Carle was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Early on in his acting career, Carle landed roles in various films, including the Rod La Rocque romance "The Coming of Amos" (1925), "The Fleet's in" (1928) and the adaptation "Madame X" (1929) with Ruth Chatterton. Biography

Richard Carle was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Early on in his acting career, Carle landed roles in various films, including the Rod La Rocque romance "The Coming of Amos" (1925), "The Fleet's in" (1928) and the adaptation "Madame X" (1929) with Ruth Chatterton. He also appeared in "It Can Be Done" (1929), "His Glorious Night" (1929) and the Vilma Banky dramatic adaptation "A Lady to Love" (1930). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the thirties, appearing in the mystery "The Ghost Walks" (1935) with John Miljan, "The Gay Deception" (1935) and "Dangerous" (1935) with Bette Davis. He also appeared in the Onslow Stevens drama "Life Returns" (1935). In the latter part of his career, he continued to act in the William Gargan mystery "She Asked For It" (1937), "The Man in Blue" (1937) and "Top of the Town" (1937). He also appeared in the comedy "It's a Wonderful World" (1939) with Claudette Colbert and the comedy "Ninotchka" (1939) with Greta Garbo. Carle more recently acted in "The Devil and Miss Jones" (1941). Carle passed away in June 1941 at the age of 70.
