Biography
David Sharpe was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Sharpe's early acting career consisted of roles in various films, such as "Ghost Town" (1936), "Desert Justice" (1936) and "Pigskin Parade" (1936). He also appeared in "Drums of Destiny" (1937), "The Law Commands" (1937) and the musical "Melody of the Plains" (1937) with Fred Scott. He continued to act in productions like the western "Wyoming Outlaw" (1939) with John Wayne, "Three Texas Steers" (1939) and "Covered Wagon Trails" (1940) with Jack Randall. He also appeared in "Silver Stallion" (1941). In the latter half of his career, he continued to act in the Wendell Corey action flick "The Wild Blue Yonder" (1951), the historical romance "The Veils of Bagdad" (1953) with Victor Mature and the Alan Ladd action film "Desert Legion" (1953). He also appeared in the crime picture "Forbidden" (1953) with Tony Curtis and the Rock Hudson dramatic adaptation "The Spiral Road" (1962). Sharpe was most recently credited in the biopic "Testimony" (1988) with Ben Kingsley. Sharpe passed away in March 1980 at the age of 70.
