Biography
Phil Dunham was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. In his early acting career, Dunham appeared in such films as "Rainbow Ranch" (1933) with Rex Bell, "The Fighting Parson" (1933) with Hoot Gibson and the musical "Down to Their Last Yacht" (1934) with Mary Boland. He also appeared in the western "Aces Wild" (1936) with Harry Carey and the Hoot Gibson western "Cavalcade of the West" (1936). He continued to act in productions like the Harry Carey western "Ghost Town" (1936), the Rex Bell western "The Idaho Kid" (1936) and the Conrad Nagel crime flick "Bank Alarm" (1937). He also appeared in "Beware of Ladies" (1937) with Donald Cook. Nearing the end of his career, he continued to act in the thriller "Fury Below" (1938) with Russell Gleason, "West of Pinto Basin" (1940) and the western "Code of the Outlaw" (1942) with Bob Steele. Dunham more recently acted in "Act of Violence" (1948). Dunham passed away in September 1972 at the age of 87.
