Synopsis

Amos, an unsophisticated Bostonian, goes west to Little Butte, Montana, a relic of the mining days, where the town restaurant is turned over to him at gunpoint. With the help of Sally, the waitress, Amos converts the establishment into a model of cleanliness, and his business prospers so that he is able to return to Boston. At the railroad station Amos is victimized by an old card trick; this error costs him his savings, and returning to the town he finds that his restaurant has been decorated with deuces of spades. In a wild fury, he shoots up the town, and when the gamblers who fleeced him stop in he forces them to eat a special deuce-of-spades sandwich, recovers his losses from them, and chases them out of town.
