Franklin found her beginnings in film with roles in "Little Miss Smiles" (1922), the adventure "Don Q, Son of Zorro" (1925) with Douglas Fairbanks and "The Duchess of Buffalo" (1926) with Constance Talmadge. Franklin then began to rack up a number of film credits, including roles in "The Beloved Rogue" (1927), "Uncle Tom's Cabin" (1927) with James Lowe and "The Woman From Moscow" (1928). She also appeared in "The Younger Generation" (1929). Later in her career, Franklin worked on the comedy "Monster in the Closet" (1987) with Donald Grant.
