Synopsis

Cole Lawson, son of a rancher who is murdered by McQuade (an outlaw his father previously sent to prison), sets out to revenge his father's death. Cole finds McQuade's mountain retreat and gains entrance by posing as a horsethief. He meets Dorothy, the landlady's daughter, whom McQuade plans to marry; a romance develops between them, and he tells her about his mission. She aids him in identifying McQuade, but Cole is overheard revealing his plans, and McQuade gives him 3 minutes to live. Cole outwits him and escapes, taking refuge in the girl's house. McQuade prepares for his wedding, but at the last moment Cole overcomes McQuade, prevents the marriage, and thus wins the girl for himself.
