Biography
Alan Roscoe was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Roscoe's career in acting began with his roles in various films like the Theda Bara historical feature "Cleopatra" (1917), "The She-Devil" (1918) and "Salome" (1918) with Theda Bara. He also appeared in "Evangeline" (1919), "Madame X" (1920) and the action picture "The Last of the Mohicans" (1920) with Wallace Beery. He kept working in film throughout the twenties and the thirties, starring in "The Sideshow" (1928), the Jack Holt adventure "Flight" (1929) and "The Vagabond Lover" (1929). He also appeared in the dramatic adaptation "Rain or Shine" (1930) with Joe Cook. Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "The Sin Ship" (1931), "Strangers of the Evening" (1932) and the Howard Phillips dramatic adaptation "The Last Mile" (1932). He also appeared in "The Last Man" (1932) and "Breach of Promise" (1932). Roscoe last acted in "The Cheyenne Kid" (1933). Roscoe passed away in March 1933 at the age of 47.
