Synopsis
Chad Pennington and his pals "Jiggs" and "Swede" are extras on a film location in Arizona. Stranded when they lose their railroad fares, Chad stages a stunt and gets hired as a guard for surveyors involved in a dispute over water power. He attends a masked country dance, quarrels with Powell--a rancher who is leading the fight--and while fleeing his pursuers, is wounded. He is found by Amy Hollis, who feeds and nurses him. Later, he returns to the Hollis ranch, frees his pals who have been captured by the ranchers, prevents another attack on the surveyors, and establishes his innocence in the shooting of Jimmy, Amy's brother. Colonel Hollis is finally convinced that the water company plans to deal fairly with him, and Chad's assistant director reports that the company plans to "star" him in westerns.
