Biography
Joe Bennett rose to fame as an actor, gracing the silver screen many times over the course of his Hollywood career. Bennett started off his acting career mostly in film roles, appearing in "The Home Stretch" (1921) and the Ken Maynard western "Somewhere in Sonora" (1927). He had an early role on the television special "The Primary English Class" (ABC, 1976-77). Bennett also contributed music to "Crazy Mama" (1976). He also landed a role in the miniseries "The Immigrants" (1978-79). He also starred in the TV movies "The Two-Five" (ABC, 1977-78) and "Fame" (NBC, 1978-79). He also was featured in the TV movie "Nadia" (1983-84). Bennett more recently appeared in "Dead by Sunset" (1995-96).
