Biography
Cinematographer Alan Caso began working on films in 1976 as a grip before becoming a camera operator and a cinematographer. His first feature-film work was in 1993, on the B horror movie "Midnight Kiss," which was followed by dozens of TV movies in the '90s, culminating in 1997 with "George Wallace," which earned Caso his first Emmy nomination. In 2000 he filmed the Ben Affleck/Charlize Theron action film "Reindeer Games." The following year, he began working as the Director of Photography for HBO's quirky, funeral-home-set series, "Six Feet Under." During his four years with the show, Caso was nominated twice for Outstanding Cinematography Emmys. In 2005 he began filming the miniseries "Into the West," earning another Emmy nomination. Caso has also filmed episodes of "Tell Me You Love Me" and the award-winning Tim Roth drama, "Lie to Me."
