Synopsis

Joanna Kendall is the perfect wife and mother putting her career on hold to raise her two children, but her life is shattered when she accidentally hits a young girl with her car. She leaves the scene to call for help and upon returning finds that a crowd has gathered. Not knowing that she was responsible for the accident, nor that she went for help, the crowd begins referring to the driver as a "monster" for hitting a child and fleeing the scene. She struggles between confessing and keeping quiet and finally decides to remain silent and to confess only to her husband, but the stress of what she has done and the cycle of lies and deception begin to take their toll. Joanna attempts to destroy all evidence linking her to the crime, and Detective Reed, who has been assigned to the case, begins to suspect her of the crime thus beginning a cat-and-mouse game regarding the hit and run.
