Biography

Over the duration of his Hollywood career, Lee Holdridge produced music for multiple Hollywood productions. Holdridge began his entertainment career with his music featured in films like "Pigeons" (1970) with Jordan Christopher, the Robby Benson romance "Jeremy" (1973) and "Nothing By Chance" (1974) with Richard Bach. His music also appeared in "E'Lollipop" (1975). In the eighties, Holdridge's music continued to appear on the silver screen, including in films like "Sylvester" (1985), the comedy "Transylvania 6-5000" (1985) with Jeff Goldblum and the David Dukes drama "The Men's Club" (1986). His work was also in the comedy "Walk Like a Man" (1987) with Howie Mandel. Holdridge won an Outstanding Achievement In Music Composition For a Series (Dramatic Underscore) Primetime Emmy Award for "Beauty and the Beast" in 1988 as well as an Outstanding Achievement In Music and Lyrics Primetime Emmy Award for "Beauty and the Beast" in 1989. Holdridge was nominated for an Outstanding Achievement In Music and Lyrics Primetime Emmy Award for "Moonlighting" in 1985 as well as for an Outstanding Achievement In Main Title Theme Music Primetime Emmy Award for "Beauty and the Beast" in 1988. Holdridge's music was also featured in the Lance Henriksen western "Gunfighter's Moon" (1997), "The Long Way Home" (1997) with Rick Bandes and the animated sequel "The Secret of NIMH II: Timmy to the Rescue" (1998) with Andrew Ducote. His music was also featured in the comedy "Family Plan" (1998) with Leslie Nielsen and the Mirka Colman documentary "Into the Arms of Strangers: Stories of the Kindertransport" (2000). Holdridge most recently appeared on "The Prime Ministers: Soldiers and Peacemakers" (2015) with Michael Douglas.
