Throughout his Hollywood career, Hikaru Hayashi's musical talent was featured in a variety of Hollywood productions. Early in his entertainment career, Hayashi's music was featured in films like the dramatic period piece "The Hole" (1964) with Nobuko Otowa, the drama "Death By Hanging" (1968) with Kei Sato and the Kazuhiko Katu drama "Three Resurrected Drunkards" (1968). His music was also used in "Yabu no Naka no Kuroneko" (1968), "Boy" (1969) and "Hokusai Manga" (1982). His work was also in "Sanmon Yakusha" (2000). More recently, Hayashi worked on the historical drama "Gunki Hatameku Motoni" (2001) with Sachiko Hidari.
