Synopsis

Tamiko, a mail-order bride with a son from a previous marriage, arrives in Peru to meet her new husband, a Japanese archeologist working on Incan ruins. At first Tamiko has difficulty adjusting to life in the village where her husband works, and just as she gains the acceptance of the villagers, her husband is killed in an accident while excavating for Incan gold. The money from the treasure is given to the village, and Tamiko decides to stay and carry on her husband's work.
