John Burgess was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Burgess worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including "Flash Gordon" (1980), "Give My Regards to Broad Street" (1984) and "I, Claudius" (PBS, 1977-78). He also contributed to "Mr. Halperin and Mr. Johnson" (HBO, 1982-83), "The B*tch" with Joan Collins (1979) and "The Duellists" with Keith Carradine (1978). He kept working in film throughout the eighties, starring in the dramatic adaptation "Miss Firecracker" (1989) with Holly Hunter. His work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "Murderers Among Us: The Simon Wiesenthal Story" (HBO, 1989-1990). He also appeared in the TV special "Christabel" (PBS, 1988-89). Burgess had a number of different projects under his belt in the nineties through the early 2000s, including "Adam Bede" (PBS, 1991), "Crayola Kids Adventures: 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" (CBS, 1996-97) and "Crayola Kids Adventures: Tales of Gulliver's Travels" (CBS, 1996-97). His credits also expanded to "Crayola Kids Adventures: The Trojan Horse" (CBS, 1996-97) and "Walk the Talk" (2003). Most recently, Burgess acted on "Pulling" (SundanceTV, 2008-2010).
