Synopsis

Children's drama adapted for younger audiences from Homer's legendary tale of Greek mythology, which takes place in ancient Greece some 3,000 years ago. The special is hosted by two life-size animatronic characters, "Literacy Lion" and his wisecracking friend "Toucan," who introduce the special and provide information on the tale and its author Homer. In the special, 11-year-old warrior Odysseus leads his army of Greek soldiers in a battle against Troy after the Trojans capture Helen, the beautiful 11-year-old Queen of Sparta.
