Synopsis

Joey's girlfriend Bonita is a paraplegic, the legacy of a relatively recent car accident. She and Joey are members of the local evangelical church where Bonita sings and, with difficulty, gives thanks. (Bonita was enlisted into the congregation by the charismatic Pastor Bob while in hospital recovering from her accident.) But then Joey meets Nikki after she sat down beside him at a self-motivational course designed to help awaken that apparently unused 85 per cent of your brain! A slightly crazy wannabe singer, Nikki will do anything for publicity (shades of Fairlie Arrow). Joey becomes so obsessed with establishing Nikki's career that he sets up the Joe Grasso Creative Management Agency. Bonita works in the front office and Nikki is the only talent on the books -but Joey is definitely not in love with Nikki, oh no!
