Synopsis
Children's drama adapted for younger audiences based on Jonathan Swift's "Gulliver's Travels." The special is hosted by two life-size animatronic characters, "Literacy Lion" and his wisecracking friend "Toucan," who introduce the special and provide information on the story and the author, Jonathan Swift. In the special, 12-year-old Dr. Lemuel Gulliver tries to convince famed English author, Jonathan Swift, that Gulliver's adventures would make a great book. He then recounts his unbelievable experiences, which include his discovery of a miniature land where the tiny inhabitants are called Lilliputians. Gulliver uses his giant-size presence to negotiate peace for the Lilliputians who are an perpetual war with the Big-Enders.
