Cyril Chamberlain was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Chamberlain began his acting career appearing in various films, such as "The Lavender Hill Mob" (1952), "You Know What Sailors Are" (1954) and the dramatic adaptation "Hell Below Zero" (1954) with Alan Ladd. He also appeared in "Doctor at Sea" (1955) with Dirk Bogarde, the crime picture "Impulse" (1955) with Arthur Kennedy and the Dirk Bogarde comedy adaptation "Doctor in the House" (1955). His film career continued throughout the fifties in productions like the Norman Wisdom comedy "Trouble in Store" (1955), the Peter Finch comedic adaptation "Simon and Laura" (1956) and "The Green Man" (1956) with George Cole. He also appeared in "Doctor at Large" (1957). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the Cecil Parker adventure sequel "Pure Hell of St. Trinian's" (1960), "Carry on Constable" (1961) with Sidney James and the Leslie Phillips dramedy "No Kidding" (1961). He also appeared in "Carry on Teacher" (1962) and the drama "Gypsy Girl" (1966) with Hayley Mills. Chamberlain more recently acted in the Sidney James comedy "Carry on Cabby" (1967). Chamberlain passed away in April 1974 at the age of 65.
