Synopsis
A couple is falsely accused of molesting their sons. Based on the real-life story of the Kniffen family, the telefilm takes place in the 1980s, when several highly publicized child molestation cases were at the forefront of news coverage. The coerced testimony of the couple's two young children at a trial before a political, antagonistic judge in an enraged town with out-of-control media ultimately leads to the mother and father's imprisonment. Twelve years later, the Kniffens get a new trial. Their sons come forward with the truth that finally clears their parents of all charges. Even during their separation and wrongful imprisonment, the parents do their best to keep their family together emotionally, if not physically, until they are all reunited twelve years later.
