Mylene Demongeot was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. She was nominated for a BAFTA Award for "The Witches of Salem" in 1957. She continued to work steadily in film throughout the sixties and the seventies, appearing in "The Private Navy of Sgt. O'Farrell" (1968), "L' Explosion" (1971) and "Quelques arpents de neige..." (1972). She also appeared in the Mariangela Melato drama "Par le sang des autres" (1973). Film continued to be her passion as she played roles in the comedy "Menage" (1986) with Gérard Depardieu, the Elena Safonova drama "The Telegraph Route" (1994) and the Gérard Depardieu foreign "36 Quai Des Orfevres" (2004). She also appeared in the foreign "Camping" (2006) with Gerard Lanvin and the crime drama "La Californie" (2006) with Nathalie Baye. Demongeot most recently acted in the drama "On My Way" (2014) with Catherine Deneuve. Demongeot was married to Marc Simenon.
