Lawrence Dane
Biography
Biography
Canadian actor Lawrence Dane began his career in the '60s and hung around long enough to finally score a substantial role on the 1994-1995 CBC-TV medical drama "Side Effects." Unfortunately, the show did not make it past one season, but Dane has remained a consistent contributor to homegrown film and TV productions as well as to some of the American-made content that is filmed north of the border. He was Jack Kinney on three episodes of Showtime's groundbreaking gay-themed drama series, "Queer as Folk," in 2001. Dane also managed to appear in the beloved Canadian comedy series "The Red Green Show," portraying Reg Hunter for five episodes in 1993. And during the 1991-1992 season of CTV's "Street Legal," one of the most successful domestic TV programs Canada has made, he appeared as Judge Appleby for seven episodes. The mix of Canadian and American credits on Dane's resume is extensive, from "E.N.G." and "Airwolf" to the original "Mission: Impossible."
