Synopsis
Trish adopts her niece Patsy after the untimely death of her sister and together the two support themselves by pickpocketing affluent people during the holiday season. Unfortunately, they are caught on Christmas Eve in Limber's department store by an overzealous security guard named Bert. Under orders from Mr. Limber, Bert finds himself guardian of the two lawbreakers over the holiday until Social Services can intervene. Bert soon becomes smitten with his two charges and together, with the help of his family, they struggle to stave off Social Services and begin their lives anew.
