She also appeared in the TV movie "On the 2nd Day of Christmas" (Lifetime, 1997). She worked in series television while getting her start in acting, including a part on "Soul Food" (2000-04). In the early 2000s and the 2010s, she shifted her entertainment career towards more dramatic roles, appearing on "Missing" (Lifetime, 2002-05), "Lost Girl" (Syfy, 2011-15) and "King" (Reelz Channel, 2012-14). She also appeared in "Rogue" (DirecTV, 2012-). Cote most recently appeared in "Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B" (Lifetime, 2014-15).
