Biography

Actor Tony Young appeared in a variety of films over the course of his Hollywood career. Young's acting career began with roles in action films like the James Garner film "A Man Called Sledge" (1970), the William Smith film "Chrome And Hot Leather" (1971) and the Jim Brown film "Black Gunn" (1972). He also appeared in the TV movie "A Death of Innocence" (CBS, 1971-72). He worked in series television while getting his start in acting, including a part on "Star Trek" (NBC, 1966-69). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like the action film "Superchick" (1973) with Joyce Jillson, the action picture "The Outfit" (1973) with Robert Duvall and "Act of Vengeance" (1974). He also appeared in "Policewomen" (1974). He also starred in the TV movies "The Abduction of Saint Anne" (ABC, 1974-75) and "The Sex Symbol" (ABC, 1974-75). During the latter part of his career, he continued to act in "Guyana: Cult of the D*mned" (1979) and the drama "Tuff Turf" (1985) with James Spader. He held additional roles in television including a part on "Quantum Leap" (NBC, 1988-1993). He also was featured in the TV movie "The Lives of Jenny Dolan" (NBC, 1975-76).
