Synopsis

Comedy about a frustrated music producer who persuades an average housewife to record several of his songs. He then uses the housewife's vocals as "the voice" of a beautiful model who cannot sing.

Down-and-out record producer Roger Deacon needs a hit. A decade ago, he was a hitmaker until he publicly burned his bridges in the music business. To get back to the top of the charts, Deacon sells his soul to Sidney Golden, a record executive whose girlfriend, Sunni, wants to be a star -- even though she can't sing. While sitting in a local tavern, Deacon meets Maggie Stanley, a housewife and mother of two with a great voice. Maggie always wanted to sing professionally, but she suffered from stage fright. Deacon suggests Maggie to go into the studio and lay down the vocals to his latest tunes. Later, a deluded Sunni believes the tracks are actually her own voice, and before Deacon can stop the process, a music video and CD are released. When Sunni throws a fit and decides on performing on live television, Maggie and Deacon seize their only chance to finally straighten things out.
