Winner of 1994 Film Critic's Circle of Australia Awards for Best Actor (Jack Thompson), Best Supporting Actor (John Polson) and best adapted screenplay (David Stevens). Polson was a co-winner, along with Max Cullen ("Spider & Rose") and Bill Hunter ("Muriel's Wedding). In addition, David Stevens was a co-winner with Michael Blakemore ("Country Life").
