Synopsis

At Cambridge, German exchange student Wolf Hauser is victimized by the exclusive Dodo Club, whose six members set him afire and toss him into the Cam River. Thus initiated into college life, Hauser is befriended by Dodo leader Hugo Foster and Girton College coed Ann Wainwright. Although Hauser is anxious to study, his friends the Dodos involve him in their term objective of bathing in the female lavatory at Girton. During a police raid Foster saves Hauser from arrest. In the third term, the Dodos shun female society until midnight of the annual May Ball, commanding the German to entertain their girl friends. Despite such obligations, Wolf passes his exams and wins Ann's affection.
