Biography

Ronald Lewis was an accomplished actor who appeared in a variety of films throughout his Hollywood career. Early on in his acting career, Lewis landed roles in various films, including "The Beachcomber" (1955), the dramatic adaptation "The Prisoner" (1955) with Alec Guinness and the Jack Warner drama "The Square Ring" (1955). He also appeared in the historical drama "Helen of Troy" (1956) with Rossana Podesta, the George Baker drama "Hell in Korea" (1956) and "Storm Over the Nile" (1956) with Laurence Harvey. He continued to act in productions like "Robbery Under Arms" (1957), "The Secret Place" (1957) and the romance "The Wind Cannot Read" (1958) with Dirk Bogarde. He also appeared in "Mr. Sardonicus" (1961), "The Full Treatment" (1961) with Claude Dauphin and the comedy "Bachelor of Hearts" (1962) with Hardy Kruger. During the latter part of his career, he tackled roles in the Terence Stamp dramatic adaptation "Billy Budd" (1962), "Twice Round the Daffodils" (1962) and "The Bridge of Kandahar" (1965). He also appeared in the drama "Friends" (1971) with Sean Bury and "Paul et Michelle" (1974). Most recently, Lewis worked on "Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways" (HBO, 2014).
