Synopsis
The development of animal life is traced from microscopic cell life to the more complex creatures. Many species throughout the world are examined in their natural habitats as well as in zoos. The insect world is examined, followed by another sequence about animals that haunt our dreams. There are also scenes of the beasts' struggle for survival and mothers caring for their young. Man's cruelty toward wild animals and birds is shown as hunters plan a series of expeditions.
