Synopsis

While visiting Argentina to direct his uncle's business operations, American Robert Wainwright falls in love with Bonita, the niece of Don Arana. Although Don Arana is the foreign minister to tyrannical President Rosas, Bonita is a revolutionary and converts Wainwright to her cause. Under the name of Captain Alvarez, Wainwright fights against the despotic Rosas, acting as liaison between the revolutionary General Urguiza and Don Arana, a secret sympathizer. Through the treachery of Tirzo, Rosas' spy, Wainwright is captured, but Tirzo offers to release him in exchange for the hand of Bonita. As she is about to consent, however, Wainwright escapes on a fast horse which she had given him. After many adventures, revolutionaries vanquish Rosas and establish a model government, and Wainwright and Bonita are reunited.
