Synopsis
When 21-year-old Leslie Wagner discovers she is pregnant, she is frightened and unable to decide whether or not she should have her baby. She is persuaded to carry through with her pregnancy by her friend Karen, who is anxious to have a baby of her own. Karen sees this as an opportunity to provide her husband Cody with the child he longs for. She begins devising an elaborate plan to commit an unfathomable crime -- to steal the baby from Leslie's womb and present it to her husband as their own. With the help of her mother Ruth, Leslie fights to win her baby back and transforms from a scared young girl to an independent woman.
