Synopsis

Marvin J. Chomsky won an Emmy Award for his direction, and nominations went to Charles Durning as Outstanding Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Corrections Commissioner Russell Oswald, to writer James Henerson for his teleplay adapted from the account by Wicker (played in the film by George Grizzard), to editor Paul LeMastra, and to the film's battery of sound editors.
