Biography
Trevor Jones brought his musical talents to a variety of films over the course of his Hollywood career. Jones began his entertainment career with his music featured in films like "Brothers and Sisters" (1980), "Excalibur" (1981) with Nigel Terry and "The Sender" (1982). His music also appeared in the Jim Henson animated adventure "The Dark Crystal" (1982). In the eighties and the nineties, Jones's music continued to appear on the silver screen, including in films like "Sea of Love" (1989), the thriller "Bad Influence" (1990) with Rob Lowe and "Arachnophobia" (1990). His work was also in the Dursley McLinden comedy "Diamond's Edge" (1990). Jones was nominated for an Original Film Score BAFTA Award for "Mississippi Burning" in 1989 as well as for an Original Film Music BAFTA Award for "The Last of the Mohicans" in 1992. Jones's music was also featured in "Desperate Measures" (1998) with Michael Keaton, the Rufus Sewell action flick "Dark City" (1998) and the Mischa Barton drama "Lawn Dogs" (1998). His music was also featured in "The Mighty" (1998) and the dramatic adaptation "Talk of Angels" (1998) with Polly Walker. Jones was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for "The Mighty" in 1998. Jones most recently worked on the comedy "A Deal is a Deal" (2008) with MacKenzie Crook.
