Biography
Dave Johnson was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Johnson started his acting career landing roles in films, such as the mystery "Somebody Killed Her Husband" (1978) with Farrah Fawcett, the musical "Rude Boy" (1980) with Ray Gange and the sports drama "Phar Lap" (1983) with Tom Burlinson. He also appeared in "Night of the Creeps" (1986) with Jason Lively. He had a part on the television special "The Budweiser-Arlington Million" (NBC, 1985-86). He also contributed to a variety of television specials, including "The Kentucky Derby" (1986-87), "The Preakness Stakes" (ABC, 1986-87) and "The Belmont Stakes" (ABC, 1986-87). He also worked in film during these years, including a part on "Rampage" (1992). He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Dellaventura" (CBS, 1997-98). Additionally, he could be seen on a variety of television specials like "The 122nd Preakness Stakes" (1996-97), "The 125th Kentucky Derby" (ABC, 1998-99) and "The 131st Belmont Stakes" (ABC, 1998-99). He also appeared in "The 126th Kentucky Derby" (ABC, 1999-2000). Johnson most recently appeared in "Ruffian" (ABC, 2006).
