Biography
Ronit Elkabetz was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Elkabetz began her acting career with roles in such films as the Shuli Rand drama "Hameuad" (1990), the Hana Azoulay-Hasfari drama "Sh'hur" (1995) and the Patrick Ligardes comedy "Origine controlee" (2001). She also appeared in "Late Marriage" (2002) and the dramatic adaptation "Alila" (2004) with Yaël Abecassis. She kept working in film throughout the early 2000s and the 2010s, starring in "PRENDRE FEMME" (2004), "Or" (2005) and "The Band's Visit" (2007) with Saleh Bakri. She also appeared in "Les Mains Libres" (2010). Film continued to be her passion as she played roles in the dramatic adaptation "The Girl on the Train" (2010) with Émilie Dequenne, the foreign "Tête de Turc" (2010) with Pascal Elbé and "Zion and His Brother" (2010). She also appeared in the crime drama "Invisible" (2013) with Bar Miniely and "Gett le procès de Viviane Amsalem" (2015). Most recently, Elkabetz voiced characters in the Max Renaudin animated movie "Zarafa" (2015).
