Biography
Brian Holland's musical talents have contributed to a variety of Hollywood productions. Holland began his entertainment career with his music featured in films like the drama "Nothing But a Man" (1964) with Ivan Dixon, the comedy "Beach Ball" (1965) with Edd Byrnes and "Detroit 9000" (1973). His music also appeared in "The Last Waltz" (1978), "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" (1978) with Nancy Allen and "Quadrophenia" (1979). In the nineties, Holland's music continued to appear on the silver screen, including in films like "Madhouse" (1990) with John Larroquette, the Mel Gibson action movie "Air America" (1990) and the Steve Martin comedy "My Blue Heaven" (1990). His work was also in the crime flick "Goodfellas" (1990) with Robert De Niro. Holland's music was also featured in the Bruce Willis smash hit drama "The Sixth Sense" (1999), the Denzel Washington biopic drama "The Hurricane" (1999) and the mystery thriller "Frequency" (2000) with Dennis Quaid. His music was also featured in "Rat Race" (2001) and the Barry Watson comedy "Sorority Boys" (2002). Holland's music was most recently featured in "Strange Magic" (2015) with Alan Cumming.
