Biography
Joanna David was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. David worked on a variety of projects during her early entertainment career, including "1 1" (1969), "Rebecca" (PBS, 1979-1980) and "Rumpole of the Bailey, Series III" (PBS, 1984-85). She also contributed to "Shades of Darkness" (PBS, 1983-84), "The Smashing Bird I Used to Know" (1969) and "War and Peace" (PBS, 1973-74). In the eighties and the nineties, David devoted her time to various credits, such as "Agatha Christie's Miss Marple, Series IV" (PBS, 1988), "Comrades" (1989) and "Thompson" (PBS, 1989-1990). She also worked on "Secret Friends" (1992) starring Alan Bates. She also had a part in the TV miniseries "The Forsyte Saga" (2002-04). Most recently, David acted in the Anthony Hopkins comedy "You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger" (2010).
