Biography
Former stockbroker and still photographer whose more than 20 years as a producer has yielded a high number of intelligent, literate and/or socially conscious gems. Hausman entered the industry as associate producer of "The Plot Against Harry" (1969; completed 1989) and he began his long association with director Milos Forman as associate producer and production manager on "Taking Off" (1971). Hausman has also produced the films of such leading directors as Robert M. Young, Robert Benton, Mike Nichols and David Mamet.
