Catherine Byrne was an actress who was no stranger to being featured in numerous film roles throughout her Hollywood career. Byrne had an early acting career in film, appearing in such titles as the comedy "Eat the Peach" (1987) with Eamon Morrissey, the Pierce Brosnan action flick "Taffin" (1988) and "Fools of Fortune" (1990) with Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio. She also appeared in the TV movie "S.O.S. Titanic" (ABC, 1979-1980). She continued to act in productions like "A Man of No Importance" (1994) and "The Boys and Girl From County Clare" (2005). She also appeared in the TV special "Newton: A Tale of Two Isaacs" (HBO, 1997-98). In the early 2000s, Byrne lent her talents to projects like "Miss Potter" (2006) starring Renee Zellweger, "Notes on a Scandal" with Judi Dench (2006) and "Cashback" (2007). Byrne most recently worked on "My Zinc Bed" (HBO, 2008-09).
