Synopsis
Dublin, 1961. Alfie Byrne is a friendly bus conductor who delights his passengers by reciting witticisms by Oscar Wilde, his favorite author. Alfie lives with his sister and dreams of staging a production of Wilde's "Salome," starring his passengers. One day, when a beautiful young country girl appears on his bus, Alfie is convinced he has found his leading lady and sets out in earnest to stage the play.
